The Grand Summer Chess League has been conceived to promote Chess over the summer months.

It is a handicapped league with each team allowed 1000 ECF or 600 ECF grade points for a team of 6 players.
All teams play at the same venue on the same night, this will create the congress atmosphere, with plenty of games going on to keep the spectators happy.

We have sorted out all the equipment and organised Arbitors to keep the event running smoothly, so all you have to do is get a team together, register and turn up (easy peasy).
AND did we mention the famous Widnes Buffet to help keep your energy up.
